Well I am applying for fall 2015 but I am only applying for the LVN program. Have you calculated your entrance points yet?

Hello Krissy93. I have calculated my points and I believe I'm somewhere around 105 for the adn program. I did go to both the adn and lvn info session but I think I'm only going to apply for the adn program. How many points did you end up with?

Well im not quite sure how to add up the points. I haven't taken the teas yet, I'm taking it in January. How did you calculate

Not sure about the lvn but the rn program application gives you a points worksheet as a guideline to add up your points. Also just a heads up I would review the teas study guide online before taking the test. I make mostly all A's and had to take the teas twice because I failed the first time. It caught me off guard I thought it was going to be a breeze. But I heard the new teas 5 test is a lot harder than the older teas test

Oh well I calculated that i have 46 points to apply before taking the teas.

And I know I've heard it was extremely hard to take. I purchased the study guide book last week to help me study.

That's good. As long as you do well on the teas you should be fine. You already have a lot of points. Do you have most of your pre requisites done? Also why aren't you wanting to do the rn program? You seem like a good candidate for it

Thank you! Actually I have more than half the classes to do the RN program but I don't have the finances to do the 2 year program all at once so I'm going to do LVN then bridge a year or two later.

Oh and yes I have all the pre reqs that help give us points for the LVN, I'm just nervous to take the teas. Also anything you need to know about the RN application process let me know because my mom graduated last year from the program

I completely understand, I've came to the conclusion that as bad as i dont want too I'm going to just have to take out loans to get myself through the program.

Also don't be nervous to take the teas. You have 3 chances to take it. I'm sure you'll do fine, I was just really unprepared the first time i went to take it, it caught me off guard. And thank you If I think if anything I'll be sure to ask.
