NAU accelerated program

Published

Is anyone planning on applying to next year's NAU's accelerated program? I have my bachelors in family and human development from ASU but want to go back for nursing. My husband has an injured back and we have two little boys so the financial burden falls on me and I need to have a more financially reliable profession than working in non profit.

I am taking my pre req's in the fall and spring thru MCC and plan on applying in January.

Anyone else in the same boat as me?

Does anyone know more about the hesi exam? Where do we take it or get review materials? Thanks!

You can take the HESI at MCC. You have to pay for it at the MCC or Red Mtn campus prior to taking it, then show your receipt when you go to the testing center. Call the MCC testing center for information. The study guide is about $30 at any of the bookstores.

Here's a link for the NAU RN to BSN program and there are information meetings at MCC that will answer all of your questions. I'm considering applying for this program but will have to retake a couple of pre-req classes that I got C's in since a 3.0 is required in most pre-req and co-req classes.

Hope this helps.

Confirm with NAU that they plan to use the HESI. I've "heard" that they are switching the entrance exam to the Kaplan for the traditional program. It would stand to reason that if that's the case the aBSN program would do the same.

Best of luck.
