Natural Science Major with Nutrition Minor, then GEM program

Nursing Students General Students

Will it be helpful to minor in Nutrition if I am currently majoring in Natural Science and intend to enroll in the Generalist Entry Masters program at Rush University? I just decided to switch my major from Nutrition and Dietetics to Natural Science with a concentration in Health Sciences so that I can do nursing.

You don't need a specific degree to do a second degree/entry-level masters program. Do you have an interest in nutrition? I personally think nutrition knowledge is helpful for a health professional and way too many health professionals lack a detailed knowledge of nutrition.

Basically the natural science major with a health science concentration gives be a bachelor of science and i will have all the pre reqs for the GEM program done. And yes I am interested in nutrition....so thanks for the reassurance that it would be a good compliment to a health profession.
