nassau community college teas exam

Published

Hi everyone, I have a couple of questions regarding the teas. First off has anyone taken the teas at Nassau community college and know if it is computer based..also how long doesn't it take to get the results? I'm taking my exam the week before the deadline and I am wondering if I will have enough time. Lastly, I was wondering how long on average did it take to study for the exam? I have a month, and I'm not that great at math so I'm spending a lot of time on that..so I'm just wondering how long it will take to study for this exam in order to do well. I dont want to put too much pressure on myself. Thanks!

Are you taking it at Nassau (I go to Nassau but took it already at Adelphi)? If so, and you're applying to Nassau, it shouldn't be a problem, since they will automatically get the scores, and I assume they wouldn't schedule a test date that would put you outside of the application deadline. I did the paper and pencil version, and it took maybe 4-5 days to get the results, so I'd assume the computer based is quicker.

A month should be enough. It took me about two weeks of actual studying to get a good grade. I used the ATI book, Basic Math Review for Nurses, TEAS Secrets, and the Mcgrawhill 5 TEAS Practice Tests. Luckily I'm taking A&P II right now, and there was definitely a question on the test that I knew because we had just gone over it in class!

Good luck!
