Nassau Community College Fall 2012 Evening Program

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi everyone,

I know it's very late, but I just submitted my applications to both the NCC part-time evening program as well as the full-time day program. How long after you submitted your application did you hear back? Also, does anyone know if they'll transfer additional classes that have already been taken, or do they have to be taken with your classmates?

I am looking forward to speaking with others who are going to either of these programs! I haven't decided if I'm going to stop working and go full-time or if I'm going to go part-time in the evenings.

Hi, I have a question!i have tentatively been accepted for the fall 2013, and I have an interview. I want to know that if it depends on the interview to get in the program?

Hello everyone,

I was reading a few of your threads and got a little worried myself. I just received my letter of acceptance yesterday, I was happy as hell until I read about attending the interview which sounds to me like I'm not really in the program yet... My interview is on December 4, 2012 at 3:30pm... Does anybody know what they're going to ask ? Is there a test ? Is there a dress code ? This is my second time applying, I actually graduated in May of last year, I wanted to go to Adelphi but it's way to expensive so I chose Farmingdale. Farmingdale wants me to take chemistry and micro before I can get into the nursing program which is crazy so I thought why not give NCC a chance and get it done there instead... Any thoughts ? Oh by the way what does Block c or B means ?

You are probably in the program now, how are you liking it so far? Can you tell me what they ask on the interview? I'm also wondering if the letter really means I'm accepted into the program. Can someone please reply back here ASAP. Thankssssss

Hey, if you received a letter pending an interview then your pretty much in the program. There are other threads about the interview process. It's more of an orientation and registration more than an interview. I guess they have to say "tentative" because if you don't go to the interview your not officially accepted. I know two people in the program (started in jan '13) and they filled me in on what is to be expected. So breath easy, your in the nursing program. I have my interview 5/20 @ 9am and I'm super excited!! Good luck to us all!

My interview @ ncc is tomorrow. I am super nervous :/!! Thank you to everyone who posted info regarding the interview/registration!!! :)

Just Had my interview today. It wasn't too bad It was nervous as well, it lasted about an hour.

Then they give you another date to come back for orientation that is about four hours long I have to go back on August 29 from 7 AM to 12 PM.

Hi jacqwilson!

Congrats!! How did it go? I hope you don't mind if I ask you a couple questions?!

No I don't mind! Ask away!!

It was actually fairly quick. They give you a packet with all your info, physical paper, a math test your suppose to bring back the first day of school, and your schedule (it goes by section) they also give you a slip to take to registrar to register for your nursing class. After the chairman speaks to you they have you define some words. I had initiative, responsible and they asked us to write a brief paragraph about how we handle stressful situations. Then you go meet with one of the prof who reads your paragraph, go over the classes you've taken and what you need to take (advisement) and that's basically it. There's also someone there signing you up for CPR classes if you want to take it at NCC it's June,3,4,5 at 9am for $60.

so the whole process took 1 hour? How long was the actual one on one interview? What questions did they ask on that interview?
