Narcotics

Hi, new here.

I have a question not so much related to nursing directly, but can't find much about this.

I take morphine daily, also take klonopin daily, for related IBD.

One of these alone is harsh, but both, I am sedated alot, and very "accident prone".

With these meds messing me up, is working in a professional environment possible, or am I going to be considered too much of a risk?

Example; front computer desk job in ER?

Most facilities will not let you work while you are taking morphine. In any capacity. Unfortunately, you will not get hired while on those two, as you stated, you are too sedated and can be accident prone. Not good for any type of job in and around patients.
