Google can be your friend:

http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/schedules/orangebook/c_cs_alpha.pdf

from the DEA's website at http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/schedules/index.html

It's probably too much information, but you can build a list for your facility from it. Hope this helps!

you will remember as you go and use them....i have a drug book in my med room...if i do not know something...

Roger that. You'll find that you come across certain narcs more than others, and after looking up a narc a few times you'll know it by heart.

Also, most narcs will have their schedule printed on the bottle, card top, or back of the unit-dose pack. It's a C with a Roman numeral either next to it or nestled w/in the C. So C-II is schedule 2, C-IV is schedule 4, etc...so if you see that on your label, you're holding a controlled substance in your hands.

Thank you guys, I use my book all the time! I don't like having to look up every medication from the back then thumbing thru to find it in the book, I wish these books were in alphabetical order to drugs....no hunting then! I am getting used to the meds where I work....and they do stay the same, I just want to remember them all!

Thanks....

If your facility will allow it download Skyscape or Unbound medicine's drug apps on your phone or ipod that are available etc, a few keystrokes and your up and running.

Quick and easy.

I am wondering, do I need a IPod or IPad for nursing. I want something I can download apps to for nursing such as the ones you suggested then take to work with me. I want something to fit in pocket as well. No one likes to carry large items while trying to pass meds and have water with them. We have a computer, I am wondering if I can access this without downloading it to our computer at work? I think my own Ipod or Ipad would be best.....please tell me, what is difference in these and can I use the IPod?

I have the Ipod Touch 8g it has everything a smartphone has but not the phone and is the size of a phone.

The Ipad is considerably bigger about 7 inches wide and not easy to fit in a pocket.

Yes to the Ipod touch also

Thank you so much for updating me on electroinics that are great for new nurses. I am so easily exciteable when something happens where I work, I need to chill and remain calm, but being a new nurse, not being what I call seasoned nurse is hard at times to remain calm. But I am trying to do this! Thanks again......

I'm not certain what you are looking for. Why would you need a list of meds to put away those meds?

I don't see a need for an ipod or ipad at work but that's just me.
