Hi!
I am curious if anyone has overcome severe foot problems.....I"m a CNA about to
(finally) apply to nursing school after many years of working towards it and wanting it so much.
Without going into to much detail I had some serious complications from a foot surgery in early 2013 and I've subsequently had to have additional surgeries to correct the first. I am 1.5 wks post-op from the last one.
I'm curious to see if anyone over here has had success with continuing their nursing career despite painful feet.
I am so afraid I am going to have to choose a different career if I'm not able to walk/stand pain-free.

I would say that is a correct observation. I am currently struggling with treatment for acute exasberation of chronic tendonitis (PTT) for the last 5 months. It is very discouraging, and I am not certain that I will be able to keep doing my job for another 8 years, when I can retire. I've been working as an RN for 35 yrs.
