I took the nclex-pn last Friday..I found out this morning I passed. The test stopped at 85...it took me almost 2hrs. I walked out and felt like I had failed it. But the thing is ....I was not going to let this test get to me. I sat down..took deep breaths..several times...but stayed focused...I kept telling myself that this test is not any different then a test I took during the program.....Just read the questions...narrow it down to two. Then just pick the best one. Since you have taken the test before...at least you know what to expect. So just go in, sit down, and tell yourself that you can do it. Dont get nervous...there is no reason to..you can do it. Just read the question and then read the answers...if you are not sure, read the question again.. take your time. I had questions that I was not sure about what-so-ever. REMEBER ONE QUESTION AT A TIME. I had questions about which meal to choose?? like for low potassium and low phosphorus??? I was like ..ok...I have no clue...I could never seem to memorize all the fruits and vegies.??? But any way...Goodluck to you...hang in there...just remember....what I said...dont let this test get to you...sit down like it was a test you were taking in class...take a deep breath...and just relax......

I had many pre-op and post-op, priority (who would you see first?).
The thing is that during my NLCEX practices, those I got incorrect were the ones in my NCLEX (pre-op and post-op).
Saunder is best for NCLEX material questions.
Kaplan is best for NCLEX strategies.
A pt withCOPD with O2 Sat of a 94% is not really much in danger than a pt who is hypoglycemic because it's expected for COPD pt(unless other s/sx described stating immediate respiratory distress).
Validating the pt's emotion or statement usually is the correct one. Of course, avoid statements, "You'll be fine" or " The doctor knows best"...ect.
In communication answer choices, statements with deadly words are those that are usually wrong. I think the NCLEX forum has one thread linking to the website for those "deadly" or "safe" words.
Studying medications of classifications helps with the similar side effects. Some drugs you may never see before, but knowing some thing like -ol, -parin, -il may open some hints.
I hope you do fine! Yeah, in the beginning, I was panic, but later on, I started to curse on the wrong answer choices, e.g., "You don't do that to the pt" or" That would kill the pt"...
Anyway, hopefully you will pass and please let us know how you do!
I took it friday, am waiting for results i should get them tommorrow, im so nervous the wait is toture, but i modes of high and low, dont know how to feel, just dont want to let my husband down.
I took it friday, totally feel upset, i just dont want to let my husband down. Hes so supportive, i just want to make him feel it was all worth it. Feeling like a loser
Are you in one of the "quick result" states? WA is one of many. I did not paied for that due to my budget issues. However, I checked my state department of health and search for any change under my license.
Before you take the exam, the "STATUS" will state" PENDING".
If you passed the exam, then the PENDING will be "ACTIVE". I got this before the QUick result link showed up.
I waited for 48 hrs: Took on Thurs, "Active" on Sat!
I'll pray for you! It's very despaired to feel down!
i passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so excited
