I would like to share my story about my NCLEX for anyone out there struggling to pass. Let me start from the beginning. I graduated nursing school for LPN in Aug of 2012 and I passed NCLEX-PN first time with max questions (205?) in Oct 2012. Went back to school for my RN and graduated in May 2017. First time I took NCLEX-RN was July 2017 with max (265?s) and failed. I used only UWorld but i believe i did not do enough questions or review enough rationals. I took NCLEX again for the second time in September 2017 with max (265?s) and failed again. I used UWorld & Hurst. I was so depressed and defeated. I was also going through very stressful issues with an immediate family member. I didnt attempt NCLEX again until a 1.5yr later in February 2019 with max (265?s) and failed again for the third time. I was using UWorld & ReMar Review. I really felt defeated and very depressed. I felt like I was never going to pass this exam. I knew I needed to use a different approach; I was missing something. I decided to get a tutor for my fourth attempt and a mutual friend hooked me up with a University Nursing Professor who tutors on the side. I started working with her in February 2019 and I took NCLEX when she felt I was ready. We brushed up on my content but she believed that my mindset and the way I was approaching the questions is what my main problem was. I tested for the fourth time on July 24th 2019 and I PASSED with 265?s!!! I am now an RN finally!!!! So for anyone out there struggling to pass; DO NOT give up! Hold your head up high! Really search yourself to find out what is keeping you from passing. Go about it in different ways until you get that PASS results!!
