My NCLEX journey

I graduated in late May, took a trip to Canada immediately after graduation. I studied NCLEX for 3 weeks, took the NCLEX on July 9th and my license is posted the next day on BON website.

I used mostly Kaplan and a little Saunders (like a few pages). I did 50% of Q bank. My Qtrainers scores were not that good.

QT1: 53

QT2: 61

QT3: 53

QT4: 55

QT5: 63

QT6: 51

QT7: 51

On the day of the exam, I took 40 q bank questions, look up some lab values I didn't know for sure, took a cold shower. My test was at 2pm so I had a late breakfast and no lunch. I drank a lot green tea because coffee makes me jittery.

I got 123 questions. Spent about 3.5 hours. At the end I was literally praying for the test to end whether I passed or not because I was so exhausted. When the screen shut off after 123 questions, I was so relieved.

I got lots of priority questions, some SATA and an exhibit. I took 3 breaks and ate some sugary snack I brought.

I think the key for me is to relax. Get a good night sleep and have a light stomach (because too much food makes me sleepy). My family and friends were super supportive and I think their prayers helped too :D

Now I just need to find a job. Good luck everyone!

Thank you. I just want those people who got low scores on their q-trainer to know that IT IS POSSIBLE to pass NCLEX on the first try. :D Good luck, everyone.

Thanks for sharing this(:
