My Lab Value Nursery Rhymes

Its definitely passed 2 in the morning and im sitting here reading over my labs for my nclex second time around. So I was thinking what is a good way to remeber them...I can remember song lyrics so easily so i thought why not make lyrics of the labs lol...so here it goes. My nursery rhymes...

(Sing Twinkle Twinkle little star with these lyrics)

So-di-um is 1.3.5

Replace the 3 with 4 for high ------(meaning 145)

Potassium 3.5

Take the 5, add on 0 for high

Calcium 8.5

10.9 is the ultimate high

(Happy Birthday to you)

Chloride nine-ty five to one-o-five

Mag 1.5 To 2.5 (sing the points too~ hehe)

Phos pho rus 2.5 4-5 (meaning 4.5)

Cre-at-nine .6 1-3-5 (1.35)

(Incy –Wincy-Spider)

B-U-N ten to twent-y

Al-bu-min 3.4

5.0 the high and cholest 200 no more

Protein 6.2 to 8.1 it is

And finally all u need is 15mg of iron a day (sing it kinda fast~ lol)

haha i wish i could sing it to you guys...then it would be easier for you to get the melody. It helps to sing the first line of the original song and then try singing it with the lyrics above. Hope this helps everyone somewhat!! GOOD LUCK!!!! :wink2:
