MWCC Nursing

We just found out that my husband got Orders to Leominster, Mass for 3 years :(! I am looking at going to nursing school when we get there at MWCC.

So far I have the following classes done - A&P 1&2, Expository Writing, Introductory Algebra, Interpersonal Communication, General Psychology and Developmental Psychology.

Does anybody know if they have a waiting list and if so how long is it? I really want to go for RN but I will settle for the LPN program. I just need to get in and finish before the 3 years are up.

Anybody who has been there that can offer some advice I would appreciate it! Thanks!

Hello mcwife,

They don't have a wait-list. However, they use a point system which means that you need good grades to have a good chance of getting in. I see that you are missing (Micro) from the prerecs, your best bet is go and register for that class right away. That way you will have almost all prerecs done for the next application deadline which is Jan 15,2013 for RN and Sept 2012 for LPN. They also have the nursing program orientation and they tell you everything you need to get accepted. I went to one and it was very helpful, that's how i got in. Hope this helps!:)

Thank you very much for the information! I plan on taking Micro, English 2, Sociology and Math 126 this fall and I am also applying for Resp. Therapist at QCC and I am taking another math class and chemistry for that this summer.

I am really hoping I will get accepted to nursing but if not than I will go with resp. therapy.
