MUSC PhD Program - Fall 2018

Hi everyone. I just recently completed my application to MUSC's Fall 2018 PhD program. Has anyone else applied? It was difficult to find the acceptable rates/stats for the program and would love to go through this waiting game with other hopeful candidates.

Hey everyone!

I also applied to the fall DNP program. Anxiously awaiting to hear back. Just moved to the Charleston area and have been accepted to USC's program. I would like to know my acceptance so I can make a decision. Did not interview although was in contact with program faculty who informed me that DNP applicants do not interview! Best of luck to everyone. Also does anyone know if they just send out acceptance letters, or should we get an email as well?

I just emailed Enrollment Management and was told the DNP informattion will be sent out via email and snail mail the week of March 26.

So, for those of you who interviewed, how did you feel it went? I was so nervous for my interview and am feeling unsure about everything!

Hi Weebie,

Just be yourself. They ask the typical questions such as "why did you choose us?", "what faculty do you have in mind for mentorship?", "what are your strengths and weaknesses, etc." The faculty I interviewed with were awesome and made the process really smooth for me (we interviewed via skype). Still kind of hard to get a read on how it went since it's not in person. The most important thing you want to make sure when choosing a doctoral program is that they have the right faculty fit for you, otherwise, you're kind of a lone ship in the sea when it comes time for your dissertation. Let us know how it goes!
