Starting this feed for people interested/applying to Murray State in Kentucky for 2024 start, good luck all!!

I just got my email to interview. I am also curious how many people get offered, as well as what this year's class size will be. With only 15 min interview slots I'm curious if that's the entire interview!

I also received an interview slot. Was anyone surprised by how little the application required? I tried to do as much digging on this school as I could, and reached out to one of the assistant directors who explained a fair amount. Are you all looking to do the Madisonville campus? I know this program has been around a long time and was the primary program for Kentucky it seems for awhile until recently with the new programs in Louisville that have been added. Very interested in the diverse clinical experience but seems there can be a lot traveling if not selected for the Madisonville campus.

@lopinheiro88 hopefully you receive an interview! If not, do not get discouraged. Keep trying this process can be long and hard.

Do you mind sharing what information you received? I have questions too and would love any extra info before reaching out!

This was an email I received from the director of CRNA program. I had asked a few questions about trauma, simulation and on-call.

"We have several locations that allow the students to care for trauma patients. Norton's Children's Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center. Our students spend two months at this location. We also have approximately 6 other locations that receive trauma patients however these cases are inconsistent.

During the second year of school, students assigned to the Madisonville cohort will participate in weekend call, approximately one weekend a month. The Lexington cohort does not have weekend call during their second year. All students have the option of taking a call shift their senior year at various locations if they choose. The senior OB rotation offers varying shifts as well.

All of the students have exposure to simulation. At the end of the first year prior to clinicals beginning, there is a week long Simulation Bootcamp where students will be staying on campus at Murray State and participating in simulation scenarios each day in our Simulation Center. Throughout the second and third year, all students will come to campus for simulation scenarios at the Simulation Center. It's approximately a couple of times a semester. Students are able to practice skills (intubations, regional, etc) at each location - Madisonville and Lexington. We are actively in the process of establishing a Lexington classroom location and adjunct faculty for the Lexington area. They will offer scheduled times for practicing skills. When students rotate to UK Good Sam, they will also be attending a simulation experience day at the UK Simulation Center."

I hope this helps. It seems the other clinical site used to be in Morehead KY. Must have recently moved to Lexington.

Honestly! They really said, " You are not competitive enough to be here, but good luck to you though ??‍♀️!"

??? can't knack the honesty though. Thankfully I applied to multiple schools. Im hopeful one of them will see my worth ?.

I was offered an interview. I'm not from the area. Is there anyone who can give feedback on a good place to stay for a night near the university?

We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites once, and it was nice and in a nice area.

And I just realized the interviews are being held at the campus.  This information was for the Madisonville campus (as thats where interviews used to be).
