I've accepted a position in the program as well and I am excited to be joining you! I requested to join the group on Facebook

Congrats!! I just accepted and sent you a message.

Just applied. Did you guys send your transcripts to Murray as well or just to NursingCAS. Their website said to send them also to Murray but on NursingCAS it said only after acceptance, so I was just curious.

I sent mine when I applied because it wasn't very clear, but I believe you can wait until you find out if you get in first and save some $$! You can always call (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER THE TERMS OF THE SITE) and confirm...she is very sweet.

You don't have to at first. On the Murray State CRNA website it says "After you are invited to accept admission to the program, send your transcripts to Murray State.“

I do not see the application on NursingCAS?

Is that visible after completing the other application? I saw that they do rolling admissions, any update on how many seats have already been filled?

thanks again!

Not sure I understand what you mean about the other application, but once you complete the NursingCAS application it will be submitted to Murray State and Dr. Reid will verify she has everything she needs in order to potentially offer an interview. I only know of 3 of us total now that have accepted an offer for admission for August 2025 so far and there are 24 spots total.

Best of luck and happy to help!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I was referring to the graduate application to the school directly but I was able to pull this one up on NursingCAS. Looks like since it's a different year I will have to re-request my letters. If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats like?

Absolutely happy to help. NursingCAS is clunky like that. I had trouble navigating this bc I filled out another app for 2024-2025 and had to do it all over again and get new references as well and didn't even end up submitting the application once complete bc I was accepted to Murray and they were my first choice.

My stats weren't great, if I am honest. I don't think I even deserved an interview, and I give all the glory to God bc I know it is His plan for my life. That said, I think my overall GPA is 3.3 or so. I have my CCRN, and have been a nurse for 13 years with various critical care experiences. The interview is the most important part of the process and I would encourage you and anyone reading this to really spend time focusing on preparing for that above all else. I didn't get a lot of clinical questions, in fact there was only one that you could even consider clinical. They are mostly emotional intelligence related.

Once submitting the NursingCAS application did you all have to do a MSU graduate specific application also on their website? If so, did they send an email mail prompting you to do so. Thanks!

Yes. The steps are listed here: https://www.murraystate.edu/academics/CollegesDepartments/nursing-and-health-professions/nursing/bsn-to-dnp/na.aspx

Until you accept an offer of admission, you don't need to send official transcripts in, but you do have to apply to the graduate admissions.

Good luck!
