Hey,
I wanted to start a thread for all of us who are applying for Murray State University's 2023 CRNA program. This way we can all share in communication and true roller coaster of emotions the whole application process will surely be. I am excited and nervous to start this new chapter. Look forward to connecting with you all!

Hi,
I know this is a long shot because this is an old thread but here I am trying it anyways. I am interested in getting insight on MSU's CRNA program from actual students who are enrolled or have been enrolled. I know the program is front loaded with class for the first year, and hybrid with class and clinical in the following two.
-What is class like for the first year? What's your online class schedule look like? What's your study schedule? Typical hours per week? What are the exams like? Do the instructors teach the information in an "easy to understand" way? What are exams like (NCLEX style/tricky verbiage or direct)? Do instructors prepare you for exams in lecture, or are they heavily based from info found in your reading and not discussed in class? With the hybrid format for years 2 and 3 what does your schedule look like?
-Do you get a choice in which location you're assigned (Deaconess/St. Joe) or do they assign you without your input?
-Does anyone have children? How do you manage your time?
-Overall would you recommend this program?
Thank you in advance for reading. I know that I can ask the school a lot of this information but I feel as though an actual students experience will be more helpful.

Hi there! I don't have any specifics into MSU but I wanted to share this helpful interview with you:
Ariel is a single mom and a NAR in school right now:

Cordero & Monica are both current NARs:

Some tips from Jenny also: https://crnaschoolprepacademy.com/podcast/episode-71-how-to-manage-your-time-in-CRNA-school/
You can read, watch the videos or listen to the episodes for each of those-- hope you get some good insights.
PS You may be able to connect with current students from MSU at an upcoming open house if they have some!
Cheering you on!
