Multilingual RN Trying to find New Grad Job and need help!!

Published

Hi, I just graduated from a nursing school...well few months ago and passed board a month ago here in Cincinnati Ohio and well I can't find a job like everybody else in this country. I applied to a lot of jobs over here in the city and some other city and out of state too. My passion's definitely Emergency Department because that's where I did my preceptor/role transition and my biggest asset being able to speak 4 languages I thought could be helpful some where. Well with these new HR program where they just automatically take out resume that says new grad and literally pitch it makes me wonder...is there something I can do to help myself? What should I do? I can speak Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese as well as English so I thought I could find a job by now because I can be a RN and interpreter all in one. That would save hospital quite a bit of money because I always hear how expensive they are to have around but imagine a RN that can already do that? Patients would like talking to someone face to face rather then a phone which I hear alot of complaints about. I have experience in health care being a CNA/PCA/STNA for the last 6 years so its not like I've never worked in health care before. If anybody can give me some pointers of where I should apply or what I should do to make myself be more visible in order to find a job. I don't mind relocating to any part of the US...I'm guessing wanting ER is a bit picky but I would take any unit! Someone help me!!!!!!!!!:crying2:
