MTSA 2018 Doctoral Applicants (Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia)

Nursing Students SRNA

Hi All,

Wanted to know if there are any current applicants applying to the doctoral program at MTSA for January 2018?

And my interview is Thursday. I'm a nervous wreck!

Let us know how it goes afterwards!! Good luck to you!!

Last year, the first interview was with 2 people and was a personal interview, like why mtsa and why you want to be a crna, etc. This year it was basically the same but with 4 people. The panel interview was the same. You present your patient in front of like 8-10 people and they ask questions based on your scenario and also piggy back off of each others' questions. I fell like the interview went well. Pam said we will get a call a week from Monday (9/25) if we are accepted, and if not an email the following day.

I am sure you killed it!! Hopefully you'll be getting a c phone call next week. So other than 4 people at the first interview, any other major differences?

Hey Everyone! How did everyone's interviews go?! I felt like the interviews were a little rushed (5-10 min per section) and I personally got a little nervous during my interviews so I think things could go either way! Absolutely no questions about monitors or ventilators which they said would be stressed during the clinical portion! Good luck to everyone!!! :)

I felt the same way, super rushed. I guess that can be a good or a bad thing, but I felt like I couldn't express my knowledge on the clinical scenario. I also spoke with Jim and he said they had around 170 applications and interviewed around 115-120. Good luck to all and hope you get that call on Monday

I did feel like it was kinda rushed! I was asked about nothing but ventilators/airways and labs....only one med question but it more pertained to the lab I would get before giving it. I feel it could go either way. Good Luck everyone!

I feel the same as you guys. Felt a little rushed. I got a broad range of questions on my patient from what was going on, to labs that I mentioned, the patient didn't require a ventilator but they went out of their way to ask about those. All in all seemed to go well. Good luck everyone.

Has anyone heard anything today yet?
