Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone applied to MSJC’s ADN program for Fall 2020? If so, how many points did you apply with?

I did and I’m pretty freaking bummed because I doubt I’ll even get in. 35 freaking points. I didn’t do so well on the teas test got a 64.7% so that’s a lot of points I’m missing and my gpa is a 2.5 even though I had all Bs and 2 Cs (math and anatomy 102). I know I’m for sure not getting in and I’m depressed about it. Feel like I wasted my time and my dream down the drain. Will have to wait two years to retake the teas test. But good luck to everyone else I’m sure you all will get in
Maybe you should apply to the LVN program. Since you have to wait 2 years before you retake the TEAS, why not try out the LVN program? ? then what you can do is apply to the LVN-to-RN program, and since the people who apply have lower points, it’s more likely that you’ll get in. Just my 5 cents.
Do they have an LVN program at MSJC?
@Bserena94 No, they don’t offer LVN at MSJC, you would have to check other community colleges.
Ugh bummer. How many points do you have?
@Bserena94 If I calculated correctly, I applied with 85 points. My GPA is a 4.0 in general and pre-requisite courses. I got a 73.3% on the TEAS. I’m retaking it in March because I’m also applying to a BSN program and I want to get a higher score on the TEAS to have a higher chance of getting in. And I doubt I’ll get in at MSJC lol. It’s worth the shot though ?

I'm freaking out too! I think I have 69 points total so I doubt I have a chance. What is the average points to be accepted?
@Nessa30 I’m not really sure what the average points are exactly, but from what I’ve read from previous posts, the average is around 80 points but it all really depends on the cohort. It can be higher or lower.
Darn it. For Mira Costa and Palomar I think I'm at 75 points.
@Nessa30 It sucks how every college has different point systems. At one of the colleges I was going to apply, I was at 95 points but I wasn’t eligible to apply because I needed a medication dosage/calculation class (pre-requisite) which I had already taken at my home college but they wouldn’t accept it *sigh*.
WOW! that's crazy. I got a 73 on the TEAS but my GPA lowered my points. I'm stressing and checking my email constantly. Your a cna too that's cool. I've been a cna forever it feels like.
