MSN/FNP Fall 2017 from ODU

Published

Hi everyone,

This is my fist post, but have been a frequent visitor to this community for years. I am glad to be a part of the family now. Allnurses.com has always guided me and various discussion on this platform has always been an inspiration for me.

Today, I am here with a question, I applied for the MSN/FNP fall 2017 program from ODU and want to know if anyone else has applied at ODU and how long does it take for them to reply us.

I have also applied in GMU Fall 2017 BSN to DNP Fall 2017 program and was wondering how long do they take to reply. I called them and they said "couple of more weeks". does anyone have some different answer than I. it is hard to wait for the reply.

I will appreciate your replies.

I'm so sorry to hear that :-(

I'm starting to have some doubts about my own application. Still says "C." Has anyone else heard? Good or bad?

Is this the website you're checking?:

My Dominion

I am still waiting to hear back as well. I also having my own doubts. Applied to Georgetown University just in case, but rather go to ODU.

Hey everyone, just giving an update. I emailed the program coordinator last Friday and yesterday she replied that I've been wait-listed. I was told that I would find out in a few weeks. Fingers crossed!!

Does your status continue to say "application complete"? That is what mine still says. I figured I may have been wait listed as well since there has been no change in my status. Well, good luck to you. Hopefully we will hear something soon, and not after I have accepted an offer from another school.

For anyone else that has been placed on the "wait list" for ODU. I spoke with Admissions today, we should have a final answer after June 2nd which is the deadline for those that received offers. She said there are 15 on the "wait list", with 2 that rejected offers, and 5 that haven't responded yet. Good luck to all that are waiting!

Have either of you heard back from Georgetown University? I applied to the AG-ACNP Fall 2017... I was told we do not get any "MyAccess" stuff unless we have been admitted or they have made a decision. And that we will be e-mailed the decision. Is this similar to you all?

I had applied to the July cohort for Georgetown. I received an email saying I was not accepting. I was accepted to George Washington for the fall, but I would like to hear from ODU first before I accept.

Kelly0828- Just wondering how your experience was with Georgetown. I applied way back very beginning of May. And had to ask about its status because I received no formal e-mail. When I asked, they said it was on someones desk for a second check before going to faculty review. After 10 days of no update, I emailed them again asking the status and they said it had gone to faculty review? And they said it had. I have still not heard back. Just a little frustrated. How long did it take for you to hear back?

It took about a week to hear back once it had gone up for review. I had received an email stating it had gone to faculty for review, and then a week later I received an email with the decision. I felt the application process was rushed. I had originally wanted to apply for the Fall program but the advisor was insisting that I apply for the July session. Then ended up being denied. Not sure what they are looking for, I had a 3.73 gpa, with 11 years of RN experience, plus had not only references from Advanced Practice RNs and BSN instructors, but from an anesthesiologist. It's probably a blessing because I really don't want to owe a mortgage payment for student loans when I get out, seeing how the program is about $85,000. I am still waiting to hear from ODU, otherwise going to GWU. Good luck! I hope you hear something soon.

Morning! I got a phone call yesterday and was offered admission. Who knows or cares how far down the list I was, this school was the only one I applied to. I feel pretty blessed.

Anyone else starting Fall 2017? I'd love to get some email addresses. Thanks!

Congratulations! I got a call a couple weeks ago as well!

Kelly, have you already enrolled in classes?
