I am in the MSN Executive track with Chamberlain College of Nursing and am getting ready for my Practicum in the spring. It was difficult to find a preceptor- but I finally found someone, so I will be working with the Director of Operations for a clinic which is part of a large health system.
My problem is trying to figure out what to do for my project ... I am really struggling with this.
For anyone who is in an executive program, or has graduated from one- what kind of projects did you do?
Or for executive nurses- what kinds of projects would you look for a student to do?
I don't want to totally take someone else's idea, but I am in need of some suggestions!

I think you should talk to your preceptor ... What type of projects would be well-suited for his/her environment? What goals/objectives does he or she have that you could help with? Trying to bend the environment (and your preceptor's interest) to suit your choice of project will probably be more difficult and less effective than choosing one that will dovetail into something that your preceptor already wants to accomplish.
