MSMC ABSN Summer or Fall 2014 Program

]]Hello all! I wanted to start a thread for any of us who may be applying to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles, for the Summer 20014 or Fall 2014 cohorts.

]I'm applying for Summer 2014 (to start late-May) and am finishing one of the science (Anatomy) pre-reqs. :uhoh3: I have already completed all other necessary courses but not sure why I saved the worst for last. LOL ]Good luck to any other hopefuls out there, MSMC is my first and only choice, so I hope to get admitted ;).

Additionally, I received an invitation to take the Nursing Basic Math exam. I was under the impression that the invitations went out to those who had been accepted into the program. Further, I was told that scores of 85% (est.) and above are required; though, the email I received states that we need to receive a 100% in order to be considered a pass. I believe the saga starts now....as many of the threads I have read regarding the program are quite intense.

If you're also applying, make yourself known...we can suffer the pressures of waiting for notifications until February, together!

    Hi! I applied last year for the Fall 2013 and was rejected because I had too many classes still in progress. I reapplied for the Summer 2014 ABSN cohort this past October. I took the basic math exam this past December and I received an email this past Tuesday to interview next week with a faculty member. Did anyone else get an interview? If so, what date and time? I am still waiting to hear back for my date and time confirmation. Good luck to everyone and hopefully we all get to hear good news soon!

    Thank you for responding. Seems that many past nursing students did terrible on the math exam (after they had been accepted) and so they decided to invite potential candidates to take the exam prior to interviews. That makes sense, but I think a lot of us were concerned as to why they switched up the process. The test wasn’t terribly difficult; though, the requirement to pass with 100% is quite nerve wrecking. I’m assuming you passed with a 100% : )~

    i missed the deadline for fall 2014, because i have physiology IP and with the recent pre-req changes i plan to take English 2 in the summer, anybody here have plans to apply for Summer 2015.
