Hi, I'm in the process of applying for the MS Midwifery program at Suny Downstate and was wondering if there's anyone here that is a current student or in the process applying fo the same program. I would like to get some insight about the program

I'm currently applying as well! Don't have much insight other than the website. There's an information session coming up in May. What did u have questions on specifically?

I dont have a nursing degree and going straight for the MS midwifery program. Just wanted to see if anyone start getting interview, acceptance letters and wanted to talk to someone that's already in the program so that they can tell me whats the dif between the cnm and the regular one?

Before you make a career decision such as this, make sure you fully understand what a midwife is and what the difference between CM and CNM is. If you plan to live and work in NY state forever, then CM and CNM are the same in practice. This is not the case in most other states.
