Moving from tx to tn

Could someone explain to me like I'm 5 the process of moving all of my licenses to Tenessee from Texas? The websites make my head spin. 

Do I need to.complete my move (change dl, car-registration etc) and and apply for a tn license?

 

Or do I need to apply for a tn license first?

I want to avoid having a lapse in my active license.

    Does your TX license grant multi-state privileges?  If so, apply for licensure with the TN BON as soon as you you relocate.  You will be allowed to work using your TX license while your TN license is being processed.
