Moving to PHX, Hospitals/Recommendations/Tips

U.S.A. Arizona

Hello! I will graduate with a BSN in Spring of 2018 and am moving to the Phoenix area after graduation. I am from the Midwest so I'm not totally familiar with all of the different hospitals in the Phoenix area so any advice or recommendations of hospitals would be helpful! I would loooove to work at the Mayo Clinic or Phoenix Children's but from my understanding it is difficult to get a job there as a new grad. Is this true? My passion is pediatrics but I know I can't be picky as a new grad! So if any of you work at hospitals in that area with fair wages and friendly/respectful staff I would love to hear about it!

Thank you so much!

I'll do that thank you! Is it true that you need to have experience as a tech in peds to get a new grad position there? I'm a tech currently on a tele floor but have not worked on a pediatric unit so I was just curious!

One of my classmates had been a volunteer and then a tech there while in school, but the other two had zero healthcare experience.
