Moving to Ontario, LPN in Alberta, ? in Ontario

Hello,

I've just been accepted into the LPN program at Norquest in Alberta and am foreseeing that a move to Ontario will be in order once I've completed my program (family things unfortunately). I'm really excited to get started and learn and just so pumped to get to school but I am wondering, when I move to Ontario (potentially Montreal or Ottawa, still not sure what the deal will be) are there extra credentialling or equivalency courses I need to do? I know I'll need to get licensed there or something, but can anyone shed any light on how this works?

Other than that, SO pumped to start school!! :lol2:

Montreal is not in Ontario, it is in Quebec. It that is where you are moving it will be a lot more complicated than Ontario due to having to pass the French exam. I don't believe that Ontario should be to difficult. You will have to meet their requirements for a license in that province.

I didn't think I had to specify that Montreal was in Quebec. :p French won't be a problem so not worried about that. Do you know where I might find a quick look at reqs for licensure in Ontario?

Go to cno.org and they will have the answers and contact information for info on how to proceed with applying for licensure in Ontario. It will take time and money but there should be no major hurdles.
