Moving from Ohio to Orlando

Published

Hi all,

My hubby and I are moving from Ohio to Florida, hubby will be working out of Orlando international airport......I am a LPN :) I was just wondering what areas to live in, we will be renting at 1st.....then looking to buy in maybe 6-9 months.......what areas to avoid.......hospitals to work at or nursing homes.......We both do not mind a slight commute....do not want to be living in a crazy built up neighbour hood. Any input would be greatly appreciated,

Many Thanks

Jayne

WELL GUYS WE ARE NOT MOVING, THE TRANSFER HAS BEEN CANCELLED SO WE ARE HERE FOR ANOTHER OHIO WINTER.

OK GUYS....The transfer is back on, any info would be great......on areas to live (etc), anyone have anything to report on Titusville?

DOnt know too much specific but Parish Medical Center is the hospital located in Titusville. Im working as a travel nurse in the ER down the road in Rockledge. I initally had a travel assignment in Titusville but at the time they didnt need 2 of us. My travel agency did tell me when we were in the process of setting up housing ie apt that the ones locally "didnt meet their standards"

Titusville is located in Northern Brevard county. Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center are in close proximaty. To the North is Daytona Beach. To the South is Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Melbourne. There are actually 6 hospitals in the county. The other hospitals are Cape Canaveral Medical Center, Wuesthoff (Rockledge, Melbourne), Holmes Regional in Melbourne and one in the Southern end of the county in Palm Bay. Brevard county is long- 70 miles North to South.

Wuesthoff I know uses LPN's on the floors.

Let me know if you would like to know anything else.
