Hello everyone,
I am an LPN/LVN thinking about moving from cincinnati, ohio to the sacramento,ca area and was wanting to get info from LVN's in or around the area. Here in cincinnati, the jobs are limited for LPN's to nursing homes, assisted living, hospice (continuous care), some home health. Was interested to know what it's like out there and what the pay rates are. any info is greatly appreciated!!

Sacramento is experiencing a major nursing glut, and it is difficult for new grads to find work. In summary, there are far more LVNs in the Sacramento area than there are jobs available.
Thanks for the info. I have been an LPN for 10 years. Was tossing around the idea of moving out there (family there) and they say there is a great need for nurses. However, I don't think they really know the difference of "nurses" ie LPN, RN, etc. credentials do make a difference in the field of nursing.
