Hello! I am currently enrolled in a nursing program in Georgia. It is accredited so that should'nt be a problem I hope! I will graduate in December of this year and then my husband and I are planning on moving to Nashville. But as much research as I have done, I can't find much information on the Tennessee boards. I really need to know what steps I need to take to become a licensed RN in TN. Are there any special things I need to do because I am getting my degree in Georgia? Is there anything different about the TN and GA nursing boards? Is there anything I need to be doing right now to get the ball rolling? My goal is to be working and completely moved by Feb. 15 of 2011.
Thanks, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Georgia unfortunately is not a compact state, so that is were the problem. Boards are boards, Contact the TN Board of Nursing to find out where you need to go for testing, fingerprints, etc. TN is a compact state so I encourage you to go for your lic. there, undersize you have to go through a bunch of red tape. Hope this helps
I am planning on getting my license only in TN, I'll be moving so soon after graduation that it only makes sense to get licensed there. Thanks for your response!
