Moving to GA

U.S.A. Georgia

Hi, my husband and I are moving to the north Atlanta area and are wondering how salaries compare to those in Florida. He is an RN, PCU trained with 7 years experience. I am a new hire LPN. Is there anyone in the area willing to share approximate salaries for either of us? Thanks!

For your husband, one of the Piedmont Healthcare facilities is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for PCU. Unfortunately for you, the hospitals here, though some still have LPNs, are not hiring LPNs. Long Term Care, the last time I applied as an LPN part-time back in 2006 with around 20 years of experience, was hiring at a rate of $15/hr....no more than $15.25/hr. I accepted it because my primary hospital job at the time was paying over $25/hr and I didn't want to pick up an extra shift in the hospital setting because being in overtime was the fastest way to be put on call, thereby making nothing extra. Plus, I really love working with the elderly.;)
