Hello Everyone,
First time poster, long time lurker. So I've applied for the ADN program in Spring 2013. Here's my sitch.. I'm 36, 3 kids, married and work as a CNA at UCLA in Westwood. I am just going to be starting pre reqs this Fall. I talked to someone over the phone at the mount and she told me that even though I don't have the pre-reqs completed that I can still apply and be considered. I'm only taking English, Sociology 1, Psych 1 and the beginner Biology class/lab. I am pretty sure I will be shot down for the ADN program since I really don't have any pre-reqs completed. If I get denied (which I probably will), how can I enroll in pre-nursing? Do I have to apply for that as well? I am so confused as I haven't been in school for 20 years. I feel like I'm too old to be trying this now.. any advice? Comments or Questions?

I believe if you have not completed all the pre reqs yet, and if accepted, you will be placed on the Pre Nursing option.
I applied for Spring 2013 as well.
I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona and am taking my pre-reqs out here. I've finished all but 4 of them which I am taking now and will be finished with in December. When I spoke with the nursing adviser back in February she said that I need to have all pre-reqs done before starting the nursing program. According to her, we're allowed to apply with pre-reqs still in progress, given that they will be completed before January. I hope that was the correct information! Would be disheartening, to say the least, to be denied and have to apply again for the fall semester.
My fingers are crossed for all of you as well! Good luck :)

Hello! I was looking into applying to Mount St Marys ADN program for the Spring 2013. Please feel free to share any concerns or questions so we could help each other out! Does anyone have their statistics regarding their nursing program for direct nursing route?
