Hi, This thread is for PSON ABSN Summer 2024  Please feel free to post updates if you have applied as well or have received an acceptance already. 

Hi everyone,

 

I have an interview next week & wanted to ask what the interview process is like? How long it took, some example questions & how many people are in the zoom with you? To be honest with you all, I'm horrible with interviews and get nervous to my bones!!

I had an interview! mine was like 20min, with three PSON staff members! they asked me questions along the lines of why nursing at mount sinai, my strengths/weakness, adversity and like two what would you do scenarios. I was super nervous, but I answered truthfully and it actually ended up in an acceptance! Just remember it's OK to be nervous, it just means you care! not that you asked, but I heard back like a week and a half later! Good luck to you!

Hi! When you asked them to defer, what was your process like? I already made my deposit for Summer, but I have certain prereqs that still need to be completed, and I'm worried I won't finish them in time, would they let you defer for a reason like that? Thanks!

I have my prereqs done so I am not sure if the process would be the same, but it was super easy! I emailed my program coordinator and he let me know I had to pay the deposit and write a statement of purpose for the deferral. I recommend reaching out to your program coordinator to ask for instructions :)

Thank you so much for your response & letting me know when they got back to you since that'd probably be a follow up question I'd be asking on here! I'm sure you did amazing that's why they accepted you 😉

Thank you for your insight! I'm really hoping I'll be able to finish the prereqs so I won't have to defer loll.
