Hi, I am currently applying for Mount Saint Mary Los Angeles MSMULA ABSN program for fall 2023. I am extremely nervous and excited to be applying to MSMULA. I am reaching out to see if anyone else is applying by the March 1st deadline. I wish the university website offered more in-depth information on the process, for instance, the time frame for the interview date, possible interview questions, the Nursing entrance exam, and the tentative class schedule for the year. Prospective students or alumni please feel free to chime in and offer any tips or advice. Thanks for initiating this forum. I have been searching for other forums to discuss the application process and provide/receive support from fellow prospective students as we embark on this journey together!
I am applying for the MSMU ABSN Fall of 2023 cohort and have been in touch with admissions to ensure I have completed all the LACE requirements, but am still waiting on a thorough response, as I have several transcripts for the admission office to evaluate. MSMU is my top choice, so ensuring that I am at least eligible to apply is a huge priority for me right now.
Have you joined any of the webinars/info sessions? Do you plan on submitting the optional personal statement as well?

Hey yes I thought it would be cool to see where everyone was at with the application process. I have actually attended the Webinar twice. I plan on submitting my application this week. I recently just finished one of my last pre requisites. How about you?

Hi, I am applying to a few ABSN programs and happened to stumble upon MSMU. I just have a few quick questions to any of those who can answer. Are the LACE core classes taken before applying to the program or can we take them at the beginning of the program if accepted? I also have a cumulative GPA of 2.9 from my undergraduate degree, but all my prerequisites are completed above a grade of C or better. Do any of you know if there are cases where students with a GPA below the requirement are accepted?

MSMULA are strict on the overall GPA being 3.0 and higher. I recommend reaching out to an advisor to see what they suggest. Also I was advised that the lace requirements must be completed beforehand.

Do the LACE classes have to be completed at MSMU or can they be completed elsewhere?

@FutureNursey03, I was informed that the LACE requirements can be completed at other accredited colleges and must be completed prior to admission to the program.

Thanks for starting this !  I have completed my ASSOCIATES IN HEALTH SCIENCE and have most of those pre req but did not find the college transfer form on there. Any guidance on if they could check my transcripts and see if they are valid?  My number one choice is APU but I would like to have 3 options available.

The program requires you to have A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. I would recommend speaking with a school advisor if you have specific questions on what courses will be accepted.

Is anyone else having difficulty sending the requests for letters of recommendation? Neither of my recommenders have received the request, either in their inbox or in their spam folder.
