Mount Marty CRNA school

Published

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any information on Mount Marty CRNA program. I am thinking about applying to Mount Marty in South Dakota. Any information would be greatly appreciated such as how was the school life balance, rigor of the education, did it fully prepare you to work as a CRNA (especially in a rural setting?), the number of cases, clinical experience, and anything else thats informative. What was your stats like when applying and acceptance? Thanks for taking the time to read and maybe respond.

@Cowboy Medic Thank you- I’ve been following that thread as well! No ones heard anything yet so fingers crossed ? and @soccermel22 thank you for a summary of your timeline - super helpful! Our application due date was September 7th this year so hoping we may find out about interview a bit sooner than November but that may be wishful thinking!

How are you liking the program so far? MN is home for me but I’d be moving to the area if I was accepted!

Yes, you should hear from them soon, the interviews are scheduled for November 15-19th this year.

And I love it so far! Our first semester was all online because of covid but this 2nd semester has been on campus and a much better learning experience. Sioux falls is a nice area to live in as well, with plenty of things to do!

The first semester is always online and had nothing to do with COVID. They only have one class in Sioux Falls at a time. So while the 2nd year's finish up the Summer in SF, the 1st years are doing some of their DNAP classes to get them out of the way. Glad your enjoying the didactic portion, it gets tougher as you progress throughout the year.

Hi there! I’m looking back on old threads as I just got accepted and am hoping to find insight in first year students. Does anyone have any input on working during the online Summer class period? I would like to continue my job as a 0.45 to keep my benefits until August when I move to Sioux Falls.
