Hi all,
I was just wondering....what was your hardest graduate course? And what would you tell other students to do in order to prepare?

I'd have to say that Advanced Pharmacology was the toughest one for me. The volume of information (indications, dosages, contraindications, etc). was a bit overwhelming for me. My advice would be to learn the most common drug in a particular class and go from there. Also, I seemed to do better when I studied with a group and we took turns "re-teaching" eachother about the meds.
Good luck!!

I completely agree with BC. Pharm was by far the most challenging course. I found it helpful to learn classes of medications versus individual meds. Also studying using various methods (flash cards, studying notes, reading and rereading chapters, etc.) was more helpful than only using one technique.

Definitely advanced pharm so far. Just the sheer volume of info. If you can start looking at drugs and at least recognize what class they fall into, you'll be a lot better off. I found the psych drugs probably hardest, because I was unfamiliar with them, and there's a lot of different classes.
