Hi, Im 19 and trying to get into nursing school....im probly one of the few 19 year old men who chose nursing as my career choice...lol two years working for a home care agency will do that to you lol.....but the pay is great and i like helping people....i dont have the grades to get into med school so nursing was a nice alternative...but is it true that a male nurse is more likely to get a job than a female nurse?

I congratulate you on choosing a great career in nursing. Somewhere along your travels you may have heard this, and unfortunatley many individual can and do believe this.
In my experience, your gender is a matter of perspective. I see a nurse as simply a nurse, not a female or male nurse.
Your skills, knowledge and desire seperate you from others, not your gender.
