Moorpark College ADN Spring 2025

Published

Hi Everyone! I am starting a thread for those who've applied to the Moorpark College nursing program for Spring 2025 admission. Looking forward to good news!

Anyone else? I'm still hopeful, but I'm less confident now that's for sure.

I think it might be safe to say if those that didn't get a call yet didn't get in because Rormac said that who ever called them and told them the news was trying to get all the calls done Monday and Tuesday and it's Wednesday so yeah safe to say.

I'm in! I got a call yesterday! Good luck to everyone!

Nice! Congrats! If you don't mind me asking who was it that delivered the news to you?

If you go back and look at past threads, it seems like people were getting acceptance calls over at least a few days. Plus then alternates were called. I think for a little while at least it's a bit of a moving target, as some might take a spot while waiting to hear from a different program. At least this is what I'm telling myself.

I'm really bummed out though. I honestly thought I was going to be more competitive: having a bachelors, really good pre-req GPA, work experience in healthcare.

Anyone apply to the accelerated program? She said they were still reviewing apps. I got into the GN program, but also applied for accelerated.

Received a call on 10/16/24 for alternate 😃

Hi if you don't mind sharing. How many points did you have to be an alternate? I ask just because im trying to improve my points and I want to see how many points I would need to improve.

They do not tell you what the school calculated,  but based off my calculations I only have 78.5 points. Would have been higher, but I repeated physio twice! Also, I have been working as a CNA at a hospital for 3 years, and I think that helped my chances. I honestly didn't think I was ever going to get in because of my score, so I am so grateful for this opportunity. Keep trying never give up.

Hello all,

I'm wondering which is the better program between Moorpark College & College of the Canyons? I read conflicting reviews.

I've been on the waitlist for two semesters now and other places as well.  Did anyone look into online programs? I'm losing hope, I haven't been picked for lottery at other schools either, I'll be 39 years old in a few weeks and just feel like I can't keep waiting.  Any advice please?

Keep trying. I'm 43 and I finally got in. It took 3 tries. I almost did online and I'm glad I didn't. It will happen. Don't loose hope. You got this.
