2 months into my job, and I have state coming this whole week. any tips?

Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm very nervous about working this whole week. Will I be suspended or worse, get my license taken away if I mess up somehow? I can't believe many nurses called in this week just to avoid this :/

Am not trying to blow you off, but there are several similar threads here on AN with so many more excellent suggestions that are too numerous to count. Just generally - be polite, be calm and be honest---and be yourself. Remember your schooling's good techniques and follow good practice. You'll do well.

Good luck.

The best advise I got from my DON, if you're not sure of the answer to a question they ask, don't say "I don't know" say "I'm not sure, but I will go find the answer and let you know" and then go find the answer (either by looking it up or asking someone) and let them know the answer. You don't need to know absolutely everything, just how to find out.

As far as them watching you give meds, etc., just take a deep breath, try to relax, and do everything the way you were taught in nursing school.
