Montgomery College Fall 2015

Published

Just wanted to know if anyone else applied for the nursing program this fall at Montgomery College in MD? (I applied last year for fall 2014, got accepted but had to deny since I had a surprise pregnancy lol). So now I'm finally reapplying!

I'm in Germantown, MD and just got my acceptance letter today. 3.25 GPA, 69 overall on TEAS with an 88 in Reading. I had all the priority courses completed. So excited!!!

Hi everyone! I live in Gaithersburg also and I just received my acceptance letter!! Look forward to meeting everyone and good luck!! 😁

Congrats everyone! I live in Gaithersburg and still waiting so I'm crossing my fingers that mine is on the way!

This is getting me really worried...I have been re-reading past semester threads and I see that most people who got accepted received their letters the first week of the month. Yet, people who were wait listed or denied received letters after the first week. I know it can't be accurate because not every single applicant posted on what day they got their letters... Though, I'm very worried D:

The timing on past semester's threads don't apply to us because the nursing program sent out the letters much later than they have done in previous years. Don't worry, I'm sure your's will be coming in the mail soon :)

I was accepted Spring 2015 but didn't have the time to get to my PCP for the vaccinations and all SO, I reapplied for FALL 2015, I'm in Alexandria...impatiently waiting. I often worry about post graduation from an ADN program, does anyone know what the future is for Assoc. level RN's? I plan to finish the ADN and go str8 to an ADN-BSN or ADN-bsn-MSN program that Drexel offers, I think. Any other "Male Nurses" in the forum?

I think there are still few hospitals that will hire you with RN (ASN) but more hospitals now require you to have your BSN. Of course having a medical experience will also help you. But I heard that by 2020 all the hospitals will require BSN before employment. My best bet is to get your ASN and hopefully be able to get a job at the hospital who will pay for you to get your BSN.

Did you receive yours?

Well my sister works at walter reed hospital in the SICU with just her associates and is in the same level as someone who has a bsn but she has 13 years of experience to back it up. She does plan on getting her bsn but not anytime soon.

I've seen a lot of "BSN preferred"

So I called the PO on Saturday just to make sure that they didn't get any certified mail and maybe I wasn't home so they took it back instead of leaving the slip in my mailbox. The guy I spoke to at the PO said that there is a certified mail for me and that I should be getting it that day. Waited all day Saturday and no certified mail.. So I just walked in to the PO and they still had it there í ½í¸¡ anyways after all that I got my letter and I got in!!!! Soo those who are waiting, don't give up and try checking ur local PO í ½í¸†

Hi Everyone! I just received my letter and I live in Baltimore City, excited to meet everyone on the 24th :)
