Hey everyone,Just wanted to create a quick thread for all of us who applied to the Spring 2025 evening cohort at Montefiore School of Nursing. Now that the Sept 1st deadline has passed, we can use this space to track updates, share interview or exam tips, and keep each other posted on when we hear back about acceptance!Feel free to drop a comment with where you're at in the process. I don't have the time to wait for the next program. These schools are like a lottery, if someone wants to learn nursing, give a brother a chance, its just a weedout mechanism, these days with these schools. As a male considering nursing im really contemplating, how will I deal with foleys and catheters with male patients. I will be attending Touro this Spring, I got in.

Thank you! Congratulations to you all too! I was speaking to admissions earlier this week and they stated more info would be sent soon after they start to finalize the seats with deposits! Look forward to meeting you all!!

 

I have all my appointments set up. Now I get to worry about what shoes, watch and other school supplies I need LOL

@Nursingstdnt16 what  grades did you guys use to get in. My GPA from previous colleges were probably low. I got a 70 on the TEAS. I know my GPA messed up my application, but theres other schools so its all good.

I scored a 95% on the TEAS and my GPA is around 3.5-3.6. I'm currently finishing micro at WCC. I feel you, It's really hard with all the requirements and all they ask for. But congrats on the Touro acceptance, it's a great school!

Hhahahaha, I've been wanting to order the scrubs but I want to know if we can get another brand first (at least for the pants). And for the shoes don't know if they require a specific type.

I haven't heard anything. The last thing they sent me was regarding the student portal credentials, but  I haven't heard back.

It's tough!! It's a lot of material and tbh I don't have the best teacher. fyi, they sent more info, check your email!

Honestly I really like the schedule, I don't think it's too bad. 
 

But them chapters that are due... whewwww thats a lot of damn reading and them books are expensive 😩😩
