Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2020

Hello all!

I know it's early to make this thread but I wanted to see who else is planning to apply to this program.

The first open house is in February. Anybody else going?

Don’t give up ! If you’re interested Cochran school of nursing is in Yonkers and their application for spring 2020 is due November 1st so you still have time to apply. Also you would have a chance to retake the exam with them.

I applied there last year and my application was declined because I never took Microbiology, all other prereq's I have?

Don’t give up! I applied last year to Monte and didn’t get in. Here I am this year trying again. And if it doesn’t work out for me this time as well, I’m trying again. The good news is you took the exam already so you will have a better chance on scoring higher. If you complete that missing pre req, you should take advantage and apply to Cochran too.

Make sure you study on reading and writing portion, this is where most people mess up...and I was on of them.

Thank u that is what i have been doing trying to remember grammar and subject verb semi colons and stuff. If i do not get in i will also apply to choncran and i heard when u take the test again its the same questions

Hi Guys, I have been reading all the posts and really appreciate the love on this feed here. I applied 2 weeks before the deadline for spring 2020 and got my invitation for the Kaplan, I have chosen the 17th of October. Thank you all for the study tips. Good luck to you all, I Pray we all do well.

You are taking the kaplan at monte? I didnt know they have dates this late in Oct? Did you get a confirmation letter for that date?

I've heard of dates even later than that in previous years. The deadline isn't until September 6th or something like that so obviously they have to add dates for people who applied then. I sent in my application the last week in July and didn't take my test until September

The reason I am surprised is because two of my friends submitted their applications at the last moment and were given Sept 30th to take the exam, even though they picked Oct 1st which was the latest date they got to pick from.

I didn't get the confirmation yet, they just send me the application form to chose my date and submit the $50, but I submit it yesterday and mailed it back.

yes I am doing it at Monte, the send me the following dates to choose from. Sept 30th, Oct 7th, Oct, 17 and 18th. but I choose the 17th.
