How many points did you apply with? They have to receive all of the letters of Intent first, and then go down their waitlist for people who are picking other programs. So you might still have a chance!

I don't think we're allowed to swap spots. Admissions are usually pretty strict about that since they manage cohorts carefully. It wouldn't hurt to contact the admissions office to see if there's any flexibility, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.
