Does anyone know of any hospitals or nursing homes in Mobile, AL that will pay for nursing school as you're going through it if you agree to work for them when you graduate? I'm getting close to finishing my BSN pre-nursing courses and would love to transfer to USA, but can't do it without guaranteed help! I have a 4.0 so far and am willing to work during nursing school as a CNA or anything else in a hospital if it helps!
Thank you so much!

Hey I have some advice that may help. Im a senior in nursing school at USA. I have heard rumors that the Infirmary is starting a program where they help you get a nursing degree and pay for everything but the only drawback is that you have to sign a contract to work at their hospital when you finish. Another idea that a lot of students do is go to the Alabama unemployment office on Springhill Ave. If your eligible they actually have a program that pays for everything (books, tuition, uniforms) there are just a few things you have to do. Several classmates of mine did it and they paid for everything. I also think they pay for Bishop and Faulkners nursing program. I dont know if this helps but I thought it might give you some ideas. Good Luck!

Infirmary Health System will pay up to a certain amount for tuition reimbursement, however for each semester you receive the reimbursement you have to promise to work for the system one year. They also have a program for people looking to be a RN. Go to http://www.mimc.com and look under careers and there is a section labeled "Infirmary Alliance for Registered Nurse Training" that will give you more information. Hope that helps and good luck.
Thank you both so much for your help! I really appreciate it and am going give it a try :)

I was one of the 30 Bishop State students who received a scholarship from Mobile Infirmary. I wanted to clarify that the Infirmary pays for everything your whole way through (5 semesters at Bishop), and you have to work three years for them. It pays for EVERYTHING, books, fees, tuition, uniforms, supplies... I haven't paid a dime. I don't think that the Infirmary is offering the scholarship anywhere but Bishop State, but I could be wrong about that.
I was re-reading my post and realized that was confusing. The first part I should have mentioned that is if you currently are working for Infirmary. The scholarship you are talking about "Infirmary Alliance for Registered Nurses Training", was the link I was talking about. It is only for Bishop State, but you are right they do pay for everything. Sorry, I should have been clearer!
