I just found out that all the seats are taken for the pax exam in April. I feel devastated. It says on my school's website that the exam is only offered twice a year. I'm just completing all my prerequisites, so if I can't take the pax in April, I'll have an entire semester where I have nothing left to take. Please give me advice.

are you allowed to take it at another school? search and see if anyone else in the area offers it
It says on my school's website that it has to be taken at their campus. I emailed the head of the nursing department to ask if there's any way to remedy the situation- if I can take it at another campus or something.

PAX test is a national test. You can take it somewhere else and have it sent to your school or they can look it up on the database. Check with your school first though. I'm pretty sure you can do it this way. My school allows it.

than sadly, most likely, you are out of luck... i know that my school is the same way with the teas and if you take them anywhere else they wont except it.... not even if you got a perfect score.
It looks like they won't budge, so I'll have to figure something else out. The problem with my school is that they didn't make an announcement, they just sent out this weird email that went to my spam box. So even if you have a 4.0 GPA, you could not get into the program if you don't get the email. It's burning me up thinking about all the students with B and C averages who'll get in instead of me.
I'm thinking about transferring to Monroe College instead, or maybe Beth Israel. They're more expensive, but this is kind of the last straw for me with CUNY.

Whoaa that's pretty crazy, my school offers all year except month of December. I had to walk in and register in person, and i got to choose a date :) i don't mean to rub it in, but it doesn't make sense why there's such strict dates on when you must test....????
