Mirena Pain

I have Mirena birth control and last night during intercourse with my husband I experienced severe pain and cramping in my stomach, we immediately stopped intercourse! This pain went on for about an 1 1/2 hour and it hurt to stand or move any at all. I had no bleeding just severe cramping, poking pain. I applied a heating pad and laid down and the pain eased off to where it became bearable. I woke up this morning my stomach very sore and tender and it has been remained this way all day. I have checked my strings and I can still feel my strings and everything feels normal just concerned about what may have caused this severe pain, without making me bleed. Thanks!
