Minnesota nurses: is your facility hiring?

i graduate this May with a BSN and I am just trying to get an idea of what the job market is like right now. i hear its not particularly good (especially for new grads) but still, any insight would be wonderful. is your facility/ area hiring or looking to hire in the near future? any postings on here or PMs would be great.

The hospital in my town hires new grads all the time, both AD and BSN. I am in Bemidji though, much less competitive for both schools and jobs than around the cities.

i've seen a few postings for this area. good to know they frequently hire new grads :) thank you!

But Bemidji is way the hell out in the middle of nowhere...

i know, but it's a hospital that accepts new grads, lol

Exactly. lol. Glad to be moving away in less than a month but a lot of people get their start up here. I have no idea what places like Brainerd are like, but maybe places like that will similarly be less competitive than TC but not quite such a trek to get up here.

Moral of the story: if you can't find a job, try looking in more rural areas. Hopefully not quite as rural as Bemidji, but it isn't THAT bad.

OK, it's pretty bad. :sneaky: We're up here because fiance could not find a teaching job in the cities. Started up here, put 4 years in and we've had enough so we're moving and he can actually get schools to call him for an interview now. Too bad I didn't get NS done in the meantime.
