Minnesota - Nclex

Hello,

I'm planning to write NCLEX.

I already applied through Minnesota and registered to take NCLEX with Pearson yesterday.

However, I read from NCLEX for Visa Screen that the applicant has to send a copy of the completed ICHP/CGFNS VisaScreen application with "CGFNS ID #" after examination registration process with Pearson.

Do Canadian nurses need to go through the process of ICHP/CGFNS?

I thought that after applying through Minnesota and registering to take nclex, Canadian nurses can take nclex without processing the ICHP/CGFNS visaScreen.

I thought that ICHP visa screen is required after passing nclex exam.

I'm so confused now.

I answered your other post. They are trying to save you time. Send the application in for Visa Screen as quickly as possible. You will already be waiting minimum of four months or so to receive the certificate, the longer you hold off, the longer that it will be to receive it. Your choice.
