Minneapolis School of Anesthesia

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hi Guys,

I wish to find out if anyone applied to the Minneapolis school of Anesthesia. I am interested in hearing from those who have attended interviews in their program and what their interview process looks like. I'd much appreciate to here from current or past students of the program.

Thanks

I haven't heard anything yet either...anxiously waiting by my cell phone at all times!

I submitted my application on Oct 30th. I didn't start putting things together until the week before. Not intentionally. I originally was not going to apply this year because I didn't think I would be a strong candidate. I just took my final on Principles of chem 1 tonight, so no grade yet. I have a little more than a year of ICU experience. I guess I got more credit from other areas. :-)

I also received a call for interview on December 11th. Hope you guys receive the same good news also. Wishing everybody all the best.

@Flourish1, have you heard anything about the interview process?

Looks like they are sending me a letter in the mail today according to the usps website. Guess thats the rejection letter haha. Good luck to you guys on your interviews!!!

I wonder how many ppl they interview and how many actually get selected.

That will be a good question to ask them during your interview.

CCRN21,

How do you know there is a letter coming to you from USPS from MSA?

I'm not sure if it's only in certain states but I get daily email alerts of scanned letters that will be coming that day in the mail.

BTMICU,

What I heard from the CRNAs who went to MSA is that some the questions were about our life/life style. What's your hobby? Do you have any children? Things like that. They want to see if we can finish the program, and we need to convince them that we can somehow.

That's all I know. Do you know anything about interview process? Did you guys all submit the shadow experience?

I've read the same things on previous MSA topics on allnurses website. Its pretty much getting to know you better questions plus why you want to become CRNA. Yes I did shadow a CRNA for a day.

CCRN21,

They interview about 65 applicants from which 33 get selected. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours. Did u apply to any other programs? FYI Marquette university has started their application for first DNP CRNA program, deadline is Feb. 1st.

Did you ever find out what it was?
