Minneapolis School of Anesthesia Fall 2019

Nursing Students SRNA

Has anyone heard anything in regards to their application for Minneapolis School of Anesthesia starting Fall 2019? Have you applied elsewhere?

Good luck to all!

Wow, that seems so far away. I wonder why it's delayed compared to previous years. This waiting is hard!!

On May 5, 2018, the Minneapolis School of Anesthesia entered into a cooperative agreement with Metropolitan State University to provide the remaining future Master's cohorts and our future Doctor of Nursing Practice cohorts their respective degrees. This programmatic change was approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs. The first Master's cohort at Metropolitan State University will matriculate in Fall 2019 and the first Doctor of Nursing Practice cohort will matriculate in Summer 2020.

My friend, who is now in the program, told me that they need to meet with their new academic affiliate to finalize all the details next month. So, keep waiting guys ! :D

Anyone is scheduled for the interview next week ???

Hey, I have my interview tomorrow, the 15th, at 1pm. Anyone have one coming up?

Can I ask those who received interviews what your stats were? How was the interview?

Hey Liberation,

I'm not sure how many people they are interviewing. I didn't ask because I didn't want to know. haha But I do know that they take 33 people. I am a travel nurse, but my home state is Texas and will definitely relocate if I get accepted!

Congratulations to all of you who have received an interview - very exciting! Would you be willing to share what your experience, stats, things that set you apart, etc. were? I would greatly appreciate it ?

Good luck as you move forward!

Would anyone mind providing some information on how the interview process was? It would be greatly appreciated!

Hey DNurse3533,

The interview is very laid back. You interview with both directors of the program and they basically ask only personal questions. Why CRNA? How'd you find out about the program? Why did you apply to MSA? What do you do for fun? How do you deal with stress? Things like that. I felt like it was more of a personality interview. I hear that if you do get an interview then they already like you on paper and the interview is to see how you would fit in the program. You can potentially make the interview as long or short as you want. Mine lasted about a hour and a half. That may sound like a while, but its all done in the blink of an eye. I couldn't even believe that much time had past once it was all over. Also, be sure to have some questions for them too! Good luck!

@jleblanc1987 Thank you so much for that information. I hope I do get an interview! I wish you well with all your studies!!

Thank you so much for this information! I'm applying this fall and crossing my fingers that I'll get an interview ? was there any experience or activity participated in that they seemed really interested in/or seemed to be looking for? Thanks for your help!
